Getting The Most From Pollen

From our extensive and broad experience in the independent school sector we firmly believe our menus will respond fully to the demands of your students and staff. Our fundamental approach is to provide nutritious and innovative service that delivers students and staff with delicious options every meal time.

We operate a 3 week menu cycle for each age group, which changes with the seasons, and we can easily swap out dishes if they prove unpopular. Our menus are unique to you and though this adds complexity to our business we know it retains the integrity of our offer to you.

Our dishes are all nutritionally balanced, and culturally diverse, offering interesting flavour profiles. We provide themed menus throughout the academic year and we encourage through a Student Food Council the inclusion of student / student family favourites.

We are always looking at how we can help you gain the most from the your school assets which are usually in abundance. For example we can:-

Provide access to Pollen bespoke mobile match tea catering unit serving freshly produced food and brewing Pollen’s very own private label speciality coffee.
Provide cookery classes for students leaving to go to university which includes, cooking on a budget, basic food safety level 2 (accredited) and food allergen training (Level 2) - Certified by Pollen. Or enjoy a Saturday Morning Kitchen for parents learning various seasonal cooking skills and foraging techniques.
Provide students with opportunities to learn and experience food foraging in local woodlands.
Provide camp fire BBQ’s during spring and summer months.
Provide kitchen gardens to help students plant and grow their own herbs and vegetables to better understand the food circular economy.
Run student (and teacher) bake-off competitions.
Support school social media content with food stories from students and the school.
